Fireworks have long been a part of Fourth of July celebrations in the city of Rocklin. Discharge of "Safe & Sane" fireworks is allowed from 12:00 noon on June 28 through 11:59 p.m. on July 4. There is a "Zero Tolerance Policy" for illegal fireworks and fireworks discharged outside legal time frames.

As part of an overall effort to reduce City expenses to adjust to the current economic climate, the City of Rocklin non-emergency offices will be closed to the public every Friday from July 2009 through June 2010. Emergency services will continue to be provided as usual at full staffing levels.
