Rocklin Road Roundabouts – All businesses open.  Construction has begun for two roundabouts on Rocklin Road at S. Grove St. and Meyers St.  The $4.4 million project will improve traffic circulation and provides additional capacity for future traffic demands. The project also includes upgrades to aging drainage, water and sewer infrastructure, as well as improved pedestrian and bike access.  The majority of the project was funded through the federal Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality (CMAQ) Program.  Other sources of funding include the Placer County Water Agency (PCWA), South Placer Municipal Utilities District (SPMUD), state traffic funds and traffic impact fees collected for construction projects in the City.  Construction is expected to be completed this fall.

Although traffic controls will be in place throughout the project, access to all businesses in the construction zone will be maintained.  There are many new and existing businesses that will be affected by the construction.  Please support these businesses and pay them a visit during this time.  For more information, go to www.rocklin.ca.us/roundabouts.
