Residential Fees & Permit Issuance

Once my project is approved, will I need to pay any fees? Once your project is approved, you will need to pay for any plan review costs, building permits fees or other fees that may apply to your project. Permit fees are based on a combination of project valuation, building size, and a fixed rate schedule. (Please keep in mind that some projects may also require fees to be paid to other City divisions and/or other agencies.)
Where can I find out information on how fees are calculated? The City of Rocklin Fee Schedule includes information on permit and plan check fees. If you are unsure about how to determine a fee, please call the Building Division at 916.625.5120. Are there any permit types that have a minimum (fixed rate) permit fee? A few types of permits require the minimum permit fee of $99.00 including, but not limited to: - water heater replacements
