Community Participation
The City of Rocklin encourages citizen participation through involvement on committees and commissions and conducts extensive outreach efforts to be sure that every resident who wants to be heard has a voice.

Rocklin community members hold seats on the City Council, Planning Commission, Recreation Commission, Redevelopment Citizens Advisory Committee, and Front Street Historic Committee.

City Government Overview
The City of Rocklin's Council/Manager form of government is a system founded on the balance of an elected City Council and the management expertise of an appointed City Manager. The City Council enacts laws and legislative policy and the City Manager, acting as the administrative head of City government, supervises operations and enforces the laws and policies as adopted by the City Council.

The City Council, City Clerk, and City Treasurer are all elected positions. They are elected in a general election to four-year terms.
