University Connected Education - R and D

Rocklin is home to William Jessup University (WJU), a four-year private university offering degrees in a number of fields. Rocklin is also home to Sierra College, a two-year California public community college. Other educational institutions are located within the area. Rocklin is the only city in Placer County where a person can go from elementary school to a university and earn a four-year degree.

The University of California, Davis (UC Davis), has acquired 15 acres of land in the northwest quadrant of the city for a future research and development (R&D) campus development. The City of Rocklin seeks companies, interested in locating to the community, who are connected to university and college-based research and development.
